Facial tattoos are far from new. It has been traced along indigenous people, specifically the Igorots, mainly from the northern mountains of the Philippines. Igorots facial tattoos indicate their status as warriors of the highest rank of its society.
Facial tattoos may not look pleasing to the eyes, but having them symbolizes their courage as a warrior.
